Pragmatic Radicals hosts a deeply hopeful, collaborative project bringing people and organisations together across siloes to re-imagine the systems we need to build for the times we’re living in.
Underpinned by an understanding that climate justice, migrant justice and racial justice are deeply interconnected, we believe that working across these intersections is the only way to navigate a just transition to a better world.
The question that underpins this collaborative project is: As our climate drastically shifts, and people migrate – both by choice and through displacement – how might we catalyse collaboration across sectors to put justice at the centre of society’s approach to climate change and migration?

The project is rooted in a vision of a society that recognises migration as a crucial adaptation strategy in the face of climate change, where communities welcome people seeking sanctuary, and where models for adapting to a warmer planet lead to more sustainable, equitable policy and practice for all.
We’re seeking to shine a light on the gaps and cracks at the intersections of climate, migration and the new economy, cutting through complexity to generate new understanding at these intersections, amplifying new narratives through storytelling and deliberative democracy, and platforming new models for social infrastructure as we transition to a just and green economy that works for us all.
